Top 5 Essential Shoes
July 7, 2010
Every woman has her essential beauty accessories, the ones that travel with her everywhere. Every woman has that little black dress that never fails in times of an outfit crisis. But does every woman have the 5 essential shoes? There is such a thing…trust us. Having a pair of each of these will make life a whole lot easier. So, if you’re missing out, here’s an excuse to go shopping! We guarantee you’ll be prepared for any occasion.
The Little Black Shoe
Kinda like the must-have little black dress that never disappoints, the little black shoe is sure to do the same. A low to mid heeled, comfortable black pump is essential to any women’s shoe collection. With the ability to either dress up or dress down an outfit, it is perfect for occasions when a high heeled glitzy and glamorous shoe just isn’t exactly appropriate.
The Triple Threat – Sexy, Strappy & Seductive
For all those other occasions where a little black shoe just won’t cut it, a sexy, glitzy shoe that sparkles up even the most bland outfit is necessary. Silver is usually the best option, but hey, if you wanna be bold, go for the gold!
The Comfy & Casual
You want a shoe that you can pull off with jeans and a tee, but also one that you can wear with nice pants as well. When you need a break from the heels, or your feet are blistered up from wearing your favorite pair of stilettos, grab your simple pair of flats. They usually do the trick.
The Booty
Booties are not only totally in style, but also an essential. Pair them with a summer dress, or create a chic look with jeans. The cool thing about booties is that they can create totally different looks depending on what you match them with.
The Necessary Neutral
Can’t forget the nude! We already talked about how much we love nude shoes below, so of course it made our Top 5 Essential list.

Hey Mickey, You’re So Fine!
December 9, 2009
There’s nothing I love more than a well dressed man. We’ve been focusing a good deal on the ladies recently, so here’s a little help for our guys. This is a great, casual oufit for a night out that’s sure to turn some heads.
Fitted shirts are a must have item in your wardrobe. Oversized t-shirts are not cute. I repeat, oversized t-shirts are NOT cute. Try this on for size – A great, fitted button up with roll-tab sleeves to show off those arms you work on so diligently at the gym.
Investing in a good pair of jeans will go a long way. Gap makes great men’s denim in a variety of washes and styles, like these Authentic Fit jeans.
Venturing outside? Throw on a sweater. Remember, keep it fitted and match your colors. Banana Republic makes a ton of great sweaters for any occasion. This one is perfect for the outfit we’re putting together.
Because the blouse has a little bit of a western feel, adding to that theme without overdoing it will complete the look. These shoes, the Red Tape “Langley”, $99.90, from yours truly, are both comfortable and stylish, two key elements to look for when shopping for menswear.
