Warm, Toasty & Stylish!

It’s completely true that snow boots can just look clunky and make you look like you’re in elementary school, bubble-wrapped in mom-approved goods, waiting for the bus. But not anymore!  I know everyone loves cute shoes, but there is a time and place for sexy heels and ladies, a slushy ice-covered street is not it. Prepare for the gray days ahead with these “Talia” boots by Chelsea Crew:

If you had boots with dragons on them when you were a kid, you were probably too cool to wait for the bus and rode to school on the back of your mom’s motorcycle or something.  So not only are these boots cushy and warm, they’re totally badass.

To keep the rest of your legs toasty, wear warm and thick leggings like these Winter Leggings from American Apparel ($38):

Winter is for muted colors and single-palette color schemes, so I love this Plaid Pocket Front skirt ($16.90) from Forever 21:

or the Jersey Pocket skirt from American Apparel ($30) in black,

which are in soft fabrics that are warm and easy to trudge through the snow in.  With a large, slouchy, and cozy sweater like this BDG Striped Pullover sweater from Urban Outfitters ($58), you’ll stay warm.

To top it all off, wear it with a pea coat! Overstock.com has some great ones, like this hooded one by Anne Klein ($89.99).

For some extra warmth, wrap yourself up with a scarf! Scarves are probably one of my favorite things about winter, so I like to go long, cozy, and drapey for some extra shape among all those layers. Bluefly.com is a good place to go, and they have this—dare I say it—luxurious black cashmere fringe wrap by Kashmere.

It may be $100, but scarves like that are the best thing to wear on a cold winter’s day, no matter what style you’re wearing.
